The cold front that has moved into the southeast over the last 24 hours is expected to stall out just south of the Alabama coastline.
Much drier air has invaded the state leading to cooler temperatures and lower humidity.
We expect the dry weather to continue into at least Friday. The only exception will be the far southern locations with some isolated to scattered storms possible.
The cooler temperatures will be most noticeable across the northern and central sections…with some nice and cool temperatures during the early morning hours on Thursday and Friday.
It is August, so don’t expect the cooler and dry conditions to last long. We will watch for the moisture flow to return by Friday and into the weekend.
There are signs we could see some scattered activity back into the forecast over the weekend….and will update you further as we approach.
