Looks like we are in for a change in the weather pattern this week.
Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will move northward along with the southwest flow over the southeast.
Upper level disturbances will also be training over the region providing the lift needed to trigger convection.
We expect to see periods of showers and thunderstorms develop over the region, producing widespread areas of heavy rainfall.
The showers and storms can be expected at almost anytime of day or evening as a tropical like airmass covers the region.
Daytime high temperatures will be running below normal due to the increase in clouds and rain.
