A upper low is currently located over the Florida Panhandle this morning…and slowly tracking northeast.
This weather maker is responsible for the numerous light to moderate showers this morning across the northern sections of Alabama.
This activity will shift northeast through the day with rain chances decreasing from southwest to northeast as the upper low moves into east Tennessee.
The increased clouds and showers will keep daytime temperatures below normal today, especially in the northeast counties.
High pressure will build across the region for the upcoming week. We expect to see low chances of rain along with warmer temperatures.
It still doesn’t appear that we will see any significant impacts form what was once Erika. Models take the energy associated with the remnants north and then stall it out near the Florida-Georgia line by mid-week. We will watch this area for increased rain chances for the southeastern sections of Alabama.
